Publisher XSEED has announced the official launch date for The Last Story in North America. The game, which Wii owners had been begging Nintendo for, will land at retailers on August 14. That's like a month away! Oh, hell yes!
To sweeten the deal, gamers who pre-order The Last Story will receive a bonus soundtrack CD. Considering the epic musical scores that so many JRPGs frequently boast, this should be a nice collection of songs. Additionally, as previously revealed, first-print copies of The Last Story will include a 44-page art book.
The Wii is on its last legs, and Nintendo now looks to move forward with the upcoming Wii U. Already a success in Japan, it looks like The Last Story will be one of the last great titles on Nintendo's current platform. If you're a fan of RPGs or want something solid to play on your Wii before you retire it, watch out for this one next month.
