Xseed may bring Unchained Blades sequel to North America

Xseed Games is considering a localization of Unchained Blades Exxiv for North America.

Exxiv is the sequel to Unchained Blades, which released for PSP in June and is coming to the 3DS eShop. "We have to work through a lot of technical hurdles for the eShop release of Unchained Blades," executive vice president Ken Berry told Siliconera. "We could be looking at an early December release if things continue to go well.”

The publisher announced the sequel back in May, scheduling it for a fall release in Japan. In response to a fan who asked about a localization, Xseed wrote on its Facebook, "We’re still struggling to get the original out on 3DS first," said Berry. "After that’s finally out the door — hopefully December — then maybe we can start thinking about the sequel.”
