By now, everyone is all too familiar with Xûr, Agent of the Nine — Destiny's Exotic Goods vendor who shows up every weekend to break your heart when he doesn't bring the weapon or armor you need.
Well, to make it up to you for months of disappointment, Xur will selling a new item soon. With Destiny's upcoming expansion, The Taken King, Xur will carry an item called "Three of Coins." It's something you can buy with Strange Coins to boost your chance of getting an Exotic drop the next time you defeat a boss.
Specific details, like cost or the percentage increase, weren't mentioned in Game Informer's lengthy impressions piece, but it's exciting to know that Xur will now have another way to disappoint you every weekend. I can't wait to spend all the Strange Coins in hopes of landing a new Exotic, and of course not getting one. Get ready for an all new level of disappointment with The Taken King.
