Yakuza Remastered Collection & Song of Life come to PC & Xbox One

Sega announced that both The Yakuza Remastered Collection and Yakuza 6: Song of Life will come to PC and the Xbox One. Best of all, you won’t have to wait long for it. The collection of the three PS3-era games launches on January 28th already. The Song of Life comes shortly after, on March 25th.

Once upon a time, Sega’s Yakuza franchise was a firm niche series only known to devoted PlayStation gamers. Those days are well behind us. Now, millions of gamers on the PC and even Xbox One are able to enjoy the unique and quirky action-adventure games.

But while it’s nice to play new games, the older entries were still locked away on Sony’s consoles. Thankfully, this will soon change in a big way. The Yakuza Remastered Collection includes the third, fourth, and fifth Yakuza games in one neat package. It originally launched for the PS4 last summer and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio took its good time to port it.

All’s well that ends well. And the wait is only one month. So, there’s plenty of reason for excitement. It’s also handy that users will be able to purchase the entire collection or each game separately.

The icing on the proverbial Japanese gangster cake is the news that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will also come to PC and Xbox One soon. On March 25, 2021, to be precise. Three months ought to be just the perfect amount of time to play through the Yakuza Remastered Collection.

This passing generation really propelled the Yakuza series to unknown heights. Not only are there plenty of sequels but the franchise went multi-platform at long last, too. And with the recent Yakuza: Like A Dragon, fans of the series even got their first RPG spin-off. Let’s see what Sega’s plans for next-gen are.
