Microsoft has confirmed that the your "Friend" list on Xbox One will be expaned to 1,000. Then new capacity is ten times that of the Xbox 360's current 100 friend limit. Various tweets from Xbox LIVE Support confirmed the increase, but Microsoft's chief product officer Marc Whitten further elaborated on the new Friend List.
"You'll be able to have many, many more friends [on Xbox One]–we won't have those types of limits, and you'll see us pulling friends from across other social experiences," he told Polygon. In addition to the friend limit increase, Xbox One owners will have the option to display their Gamertag or real name to their friends. The new changes could eventually allow the Xbox One to pull friends from your Facebook.
