Sony has announced that they are looking for volunteers to help test the functionality of the next major PlayStation 4 system software update.
Though we don't know when the update will arrive, the beta program will start in early September and offer those accepted a sneak peek at the new features incoming. Unfortunately, what those features are remain a mystery as Sony is keeping them a secret until the beta starts.
Sign-ups for being a beta tester are already open. Of course, you'll need a PS4, internet connection, and a master account (sub-accounts cannot participate). You also have to be a member of the PlaySTation Forums so that you can get access to the exclusive beta forums. Slots are limited, so sign up sooner rather than later.
For those worried of any issues you might run into with new features, Sony promises testers will be able to roll back to the previous PS4 system software update (v2.57) at any time.
