You can play Watch Dogs offline, but you’ll be punished for it

Your game console may not require you to keep an active internet connection, but Watch Dogs would really like you to.

SpawnFirst has obtained a screen shot of what happens when you’re not connected to the internet while you play the game, visible above.

Before we grab our pitchforks and torches, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. There’s no context to this image: how long has the player been without an internet connection? Is this a mode that you have to enable? Do you, the reader, even care about anything else other than the image above you?

We’ll find out of this is an anomaly or cause for concern when Watch Dogs launches next week.
