Your free gift in Destiny is coming this week

A 'small, but Legendary' token of gratitude is getting prepped

The small holiday gift in Destiny that Bungie promised would be delivered to players as a "small token of gratitude" is currently being prepared for delivery later this week, the developer said.

While we still don't know what this "small stocking stuffer" will be, Bungie did at least provide a clue in a recent tweet, calling it a "small, but Legendary token of gratitude."

I originally thought the gift would be similar to the one given out in October which, in case you weren't here for, was a Jackolyte pumpkin head. While it was mostly for cosmetic purposes, Xur, the mysterious weekend vendor, offered players wearing the Jackolyte a special "Flight of Shadows" consumable. This Flight of Shadows consumable, in turn, changed your Guardian's respawn appearance for 24 hours.

However, this new vague tweet has led to a number of Guardians on the Destiny Reddit theorising what the gift could be. User Crayshea seems to have the most logical theory. This Guardian believes the gift could be the legendary Sparrow EV-32 Snowblind, which was discovered in the game files following the Halloween update. It certainly sounds like a holiday-type gift and would certainly fit the description Bungie tweeted.

As always, we'll be sure to keep you updated once the gift is available.
