Batman features some of the best characters in the DC Universe, going from Batman himself to his villains to his sidekicks. Iconic characters like Commissioner Gordon used to mostly sit on the sideline when it came to sliver screen adaptations of Batman up until Gary Oldman's performance as one of the few uncorrupted cops in Gotham. Now we have a new face donning the mustache, trench coat, and black rimmed glasses.
Earlier this year, it was announced J. Jonah Jameson himself, J.K. Simmons, would be taking on the role in the DCEU. We haven't seen or heard much about him aside from some descriptions of him on set and a couple pictures of Simmons hitting the gym and pumping iron. To celebrate Batman day, Zack Snyder tweeted our first look at Simmons as Gordon in a beautiful black and white photo of Simmons standing on a rooftop, shining the Bat-Signal into the sky, waiting for The Dark Knight to arrive.
Earlier this week, we also got our first look at the brand new Batsuit that'll appear near the third act of Justice League.
