Zelda: A Link to the Past adds another classic to Wii U eShop

Nintendo is adding another classic to the Wii U eShop this week: the Super Nintendo top-down action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

A Link to the Past inspired the recent remake The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS, which introduced an item rental system, redesigned dungeons, and a new mechanic that enables the hero, Link, to morph into a painting and move along walls.

The title debuted in North America in 1992 and features light and dark parallel versions of the world, Hyrule. It should appear on the Wii U Virtual Console this week.
