We know that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be a huge game. It's set out to be the biggest Zelda game to date. They're even done with development as we speak, the anticipation is rising, With all this anticipation for its release on March 3, we're hit with another piece of interesting news: It's still bigger than we thought.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have DLC, available as an Expansion Pass. The content of this pass will be available throughout the year when they're available. The Pass will unlock a few pieces right away (on March 3 that is) and includes a treasure chest with a Nintendo Switch shirt for Link to wear.
The later planned DLC in the Expansion Pass will obviously be more meaty, such as the addition of a challenge called the Cave of Trials and a new hard mode, and an unannounced new feature for the game map. This DLC will be available this summer, giving the new title some time to breathe.
The second DLC will launch in Holiday 2017 and adds more challenges including a new dungeon and a new story. New story content in a Zelda game? This really is the future.
The Expansion pass can be purchased on March 3 when the game launches at $20.
