Zendaya cast as main role in Spider-Man reboot

New reports suggest the impending Spider-Man reboot has cast actress/singer Zendaya as a main role in the film.

Zendaya is best known for her work on Disney Channel where she played Rocky Blue in Shake it Up. She also appeared in the 16th season of Dancing with Stars. Her role in the untitled Spider-Man reboot has not yet been revealed, but sources tell Deadline she will be playing a character under the name 'Michelle'

In recent Spider-Man news, Sony announced they are resurrecting the Venom film, which will be completely separate from the rebooted Spider-Man starring Tom Holland.

Tom Holland will make his big-screen debut as the web-slinging hero in Captain America: Civil War (May 6, 2016) after Sony and Marvel came to an agreement to feature the super hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
