Zeno Clash creators announce new game Abyss Odyssey

Ace Team has moved on from the surreal worlds of Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages to a new game called Abyss Odyssey.

While details are still trickling in, the Chilean indie studio is working with publisher Atlus to release its third original property for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Ace Team revealed that Abyss Odyssey is a 2D side-scrolling action-platformer with roguelike elements.

Abyss Odyssey, which is set for a 2014 release, will feature randomized environments and a "deep fighting engine." Enemies have complex move sets that are equivalent to the player's. You can even capture their souls and play as them later in the campaign.

The developer will unveil more about the title soon.
