ZombiU has replaced Killer Freaks from Outer Space

Remember Killer Freaks from Outer Space? In case you're not familiar with it, that was a Wii U title announced by Ubisoft last year. The game would feature first-person shooter gameplay and the titular killer freaks … who I assume were from outer space.

It looks like Ubisoft has shifted directions with the game, because during the company's presser, a new title called ZombiU was revealed. All we got was a trailer with CG stills, but there was a lot of blood, which is certainly cool to see on a Nintendo console.

According to the lovely Aisha Tyler, who's hosting the Ubisoft press event, the game used to be Killer Freaks from Outer Space. But things change, man!

There's potential here, and the prospect of an exclusive M-rated title for the Wii U is certainly great. Here's hoping Ubisoft delivers the goods when the game launches.

Check out the trailer below from E3.
