Zorro is about to feel the burn of a Hollywood reboot. That right folks, the typically caped black-masked outlaw that defends the weak against oppressive tyranical forces is coming back to humiate his enemies even more!
The reboot, titled Zorro Reborn is set to begin principal photography in March 2016. Currently, veteran producer and Sobini Films CEO Mark Amin (Good Kill and Frida) will produce the film. "This has been a 15-year journey filled with ups and downs, but it has remained my passion project over the years," said Amin.
What on Earth could Zorro Reborn be about, other than Zorro doing his thing? Well, while traditional stories cast Zorro as someone gallavanting around "Spanish-held California" sometime around 1919. This isn't the case anymore, Zorro is going to the future — the post-apocalyptic near future. So, there's that.
