Zynga reports quarterly increase in sales

Zynga announced it reached $329 million in sales for the recent quarter, a 15% increase over this time last year.

The news exceeds the expectations of analyst Thomson Reuters, who figured Zynga would only push $317 million. Zynga's monthly active user numbers are also up to 65 million, a 6% rise.

Last fiscal year Zynga experienced a $404 million net loss. The company recently acquired Draw Something developer OMGPOP.

"This game dramatically increases the size of our mobile network," said Zynga CEO Mark Pincus.
