Zynga is gearing up to revive the fizzled-out Draw Something tonight with a sequel.
Chief executive officer Mark Pincus announced the news today during an investor call, according to Polygon. Draw Something 2 is already available in Sweden and Canada on iOS.
"We believe Draw Something 2 has huge potential to grow," said David Ko, Zynga's chief operating officer.
The original Draw Something hit 100 million downloads in February. Despite its successful launch early last year, its player count plummeted shortly after Zynga acquired developer Omgpop.
Given the detachment of users, releasing a sequel is a risky move, especially considering Zynga's current health.
