Jurassic World is almost here. Even the bad taste left in my mouth from The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 3 won’t stop me from seeing Jurassic World. With a new movie comes new hope that something can live up to the greatness of the first Jurassic Park film. Having Chris Pratt star in the film makes me even more hopeful, though Jurassic World looks like more of an action film than the first.

Ultimately, we want Jurassic World to be memorable — for the good things. We want it to remind us of why we fell in love with Jurassic Park… to give us that same sense of wonder. We want moments and scenes as great as these 10 best moments from the first film.

When doctors Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler see the dinosaurs for the first time

The emotion in this scene is just overwhelming, and nothing in the rest of the franchise matches the reaction to people seeing dinosaurs for the first time.

Everything about this scene is masterful and terrifying. From the roar of the T-Rex, to him breaking through the glass to try to get to Tim and Lex, this scene is amazing. And shining the light in the dinosaur's eyes… oh man…
