5 Bold Predictions for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

I haven’t played Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, but I’m going to. After work tomorrow, I plan to go home and download it on Xbox One (I have enough games on PS4 right now) and thoroughly enjoy it. I love the HBO series, and Telltale Games looks to have another hit on their hands.

Even without playing it and only knowing a little about who you play as and when it takes place, there’s some predictions we can make on how the episodes will play out — and there’s a good chance these predictions will prove to be true. So here are my predictions for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series…

Ramsay Bolton will be a sick bastard and will kill someone you care about

As we can already see in the trailers for the game, Ramsay Bolton is still a horrible human being. It’s obvious that he doesn’t care for House Forrester at all, so it’s safe to assume that he’ll be a central figure in the game’s conflict. I don’t think he’ll kill one of the characters you play as — at least not in the first two episodes — but he’ll torture and kill someone of House Forrester that you care about… and it’ll probably be because of a choice you made. Have fun sleeping off that one. Oh, I also think Reek will play a significant role at one point.

You’ll side with Tyrion Lannister, and that won’t end well

Is it safe to say that Tyrion Lannister is everyone’s favorite character in Game of Thrones? Not even Destiny can tarnish the awesomeness of actor Peter Dinklage. So when you’re inevitably invited to side with / partner with Tyrion Lannister, I don’t think things will go too well. While he’s quick-witted and probably the most intelligent character in the series (besides Tywin Lannister), things never really go Tyrion’s way. Of course, no one ever has a happy ending in Game of Thrones. Just know that when you make allies with Tyrion, you make enemies with many others.

3 characters that you play as will die

In Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, you play as five characters, three different ones each episode. House Forrester looks to have the same appeal as House Stark, and we saw how that ended. So while you make critical decisions and grow attached to these characters as you guide them through turbulent events, know that they won’t all make it out of it alive. It wouldn’t be Game of Thrones if main characters didn’t die. Telltale Games knows that. So you need to believe me when I predict that three of the five characters you play as will be dead by the Season’s end. And at least one of them will die as you control them in battle.

No nudity

Unlock the HBO series, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series won’t have b$#%@&, v$%&*@ and p*&%$#$, nor will it have coitus being performed on-screen. Perhaps there will be romance, but no incest. There will be torture, but you won’t see anyone have their twig and berries chopped off. Maybe, MAYBE we will see a rat burrow into someone’s chest… hopefully!

No Dothraki and Khaleesi

I don’t see how they would fit into the story being told here, and I don’t think Telltale Games will try to shoehorn Daenerys Targaryen into Season 1 just so you can see another familiar character. Instead, I would make a strong bet that if the game gets a Season 2, she’ll be in that.

Those are my five predictions for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, and I didn’t even get into the possibility of White Walkers and Blood Magic. What are some of your predictions for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series Season 1?
