A Tale of Two Adventure Islands

Just a quick item which caught my attention the other day, when I saw the press release. Apparently, a publisher known as Knowledge Adventure makes games for children 5-9, and their next effort is going to be “JumpStart Escape from Adventure Island” for the Wii, which is scheduled to come out November 17th.

I’ve no problem with games for children, or even games that are meant to teach them (though that seems to only seldom go well), but there is one thing that bothers me about this one: the name.

As you might recall, a certain company named Hudson has a series called “Adventure Island,” and have even released a new version on WiiWare. I can’t help but think that they might have reason to object to the title of this game, and I don’t think I could really blame them.

The question is, will they do anything about it?
