Every once in a great while, a retailer will offer a pretty cool presale incentive for the most popular games of the near future, but even more rarely does one provide something that gamers will actually make use of. As if people needed another reason to purchase Halo 3 when it arrives on the Xbox 360 later this year, Best Buy is giving them just that.
Beginning today, those who pre-order a copy of Halo 3 at bestbuy.com can get a card good for 1600 Microsoft Points for just $4.99. That’s enough to download at least two games from the Xbox Live Arcade at 75 percent off the regular price, or any number of other downloads from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Getting free games of your choice? You won’t find a better pre-order incentive anywhere, as if nearly every Xbox 360 owner wasn’t planning to buy Halo 3, anyway.
