Disney finished what they started. They have shown us the power of the Force in Disney Infinity 3.0. The third Edition of Disney's popular game that brings your favorite characters across Disney, Marvel and Star Wars together is the best its been yet. A large part of that is due to the addition of Star Wars characters, items and Play Sets — a first for the series.
What stole the show are the three Star Wars Play Sets — Twilight of the Republic, Rise Against the Empire, and (releasing on December 18) The Force Awakens. The Play Sets have done a wonderful job capturing the story of Star Wars with the style of Disney Infinity. You travel between planets, complete quests, build Rebel bases, and harness the power of the Force as you level up.
The game also played, looked, and sounded the best it has. Fighting animations are top-notch, and the voice acting is superb. Toy Box is bigger than ever with new tools, features and possibilities. Many features players have been asking for have made their way to Toy Box, and the same can be said for characters. In addition to the Star Wars figures you'd expect (Luke, Leia, Han, Vader, Chewie, Yoda, etc.), Star Wars Rebels figures were also released. The Force Awakens characters release on December 18, but it's not all Star Wars here. Classic Mickey, MInnie, Mulan, Tron characters, Ultron, Hulkbuster and more were released, and you can use them in Toy Box.
Toy Box also got two great additions in the forms of Toy Box Takeover and Toy Box Speedway. Takeover provides a ton of combat and challenges where you take on villains, while Speedway brings Kart Racing and awesome themed race tracks to Toy Box.
When you combine everything Disney Infinity 3.0 offers, it's a great package — albeit pricey — that the whole family can enjoy. Personally speaking, my kids and I have had a fun of ton playing the game together, and seeing them smile and make up their own stories as they play is one of the greatest things to experience.
