Best Games of 2015: Forza Motorsport 6

By now, we can all admit (or at least those of us who have indulged in Microsoft's flagship racer) that the Forza series is kind of a big deal. Microsoft's exclusive racing game has been making waves since 2005, and has been offering those without a Sony console a way to experience a hardcore racing sim. Year after year, each mainline entry continues to impress, and Forza Motorsport 6 is no different.

Back again is the crazy attention to detail, whether it's the immaculate cars or the downright realistic environment. Again, you'll be able to cruise through iconic locations such as Prague, Nurburgring, and Le Mans, as well as some new ones such as Daytona, Watkins Glen, and Brands Hatch.

What changes up gameplay this time around were puddles. No longer was water on the road simply aesthetic, or made you skid easier, puddles were actual 3D objects, that made the car behave realistically when driven across. Hydroplaning was certainly a real fear now, and players had to adjust their driving techniques.

The best feature that I can't stop talking about with each entry, is just how damn accessible the Forza games are. Once again, there are numerous tweaks you can make to the handling, difficulty of opponents, and assists, that pretty much anyone can pick up a controller, and be proficient at racing. Sure, you won't be beating expert opponents with all assists turned on, but these tweaks allow new players to ease into driving games, and I certainly commend that.

If you just picked up an Xbox One this Holiday Season, or perhaps you're getting one from good ole' Saint Nick, then definitely don't pass up this fantastic racer.
