Why we chose it: Every release of this genre-spawning kart racer has been met with insane amounts of anticipation and excitement. Sometime games just can’t match the hype surrounding their imminent release. But Mario Kart DS surpassed every ones expectations, especially in the graphics department. The tracks and characters are in beautiful 3D with rich and vibrant colors, and the whole package is simply unmatched this year on the dual screen camp. That’s why we award Mario Kart DS as the game with Best Graphics in 2005.
