Best Sports Game
Winner: Snowboard Kids DS
Runner-Up: Touch Golf
With a minimal number of sports games available for the DS at E3, the competition was really between two titles: Touch Golf and Snowboard Kids DS. While both titles will undoubtedly create unique sport experiences for DS players upon their respective release, only one can be dubbed Best DS Sports Game of E3. This title goes to Snowboard Kids DS, a new installment to the classic N64 game that blended intense snowboarding action with hectic Mario Kart-esque gameplay, allowing players to use power-up items on each other to reach the end of the course victorious. In this DS version of the game, players will be able to compete with up to three other players in a downhill-domination test of skill, precision, and competitiveness. Only through the use of the power-ups scattered throughout the course will one be able to emerge victorious. So far, Snowboard Kids DS is shaping up to be a great new Snowboard Kids title, offering a new, more anime-inspired look than the N64 version had, and bringing the same fun gameplay that its predecessor offered. Look for this title when it releases later this year.john andrei co monocay
