Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Published by Nintendo
Developed by Intelligent Systems
Released July 26, 2005
Why we chose it: The Advance Wars series has always proven that turn based strategy games can have depth, and still be fun to play; but with the Nintendo DS incarnation, this became even more evident. The Nintendo DS touch screen makes it far more intuitive to shuffle through the numerous menus, and control your vast army to victory over your foes. They even managed to add a wealth of new features to fully expand the already proven game play. It’s definitely no big surprise that Advance Wars: Dual Strike won our prestigious best strategy game award on the Nintendo DS.
