Bethesda Leaves PS3 Owners Out In The Cold… For Now

It has been obvious since Bethesda started development on Fallout 3, that their platform of choice was the Xbox 360. This argument had been used to add validity to the rumor that the Playstation 3 version would not have Trophy support. Well, it looks like we need to once again get out our big red “Confirmed” stamp:

Bethesda’s Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version of Fallout 3 will not include Trophy support when the game hits stores later this year, but did not rule out the possibility of the feature being added at a later date.

“Not at launch,” said Hines, during an interview with PSU.com to be published later today.

“It remains to be seen what we do down the road. It wasn’t something we were able to incorporate into the game for launch.” — Playstation Universe

That sound you hear is achievement whores and Xbox 360 fanboys alike, collectively jumping for joy. Once again, they will be able to flaunt their superiority in the faces of Playstation 3 fanboys. That is until PS3 owners get the exact same Achievements/Trophies by update three months after release. Ah, the beauty of downloadable content…
