Officially two years old, Sony is finally ready to offer the standard holiday discounts on its PlayStation 4. While the PS4's sales remain strong, it's typically outsold by its competition, the Xbox One, during the holiday months, and that's mostly due to very attractive bundles and discounts on Microsoft's end.
This year is not much different as Microsoft is offering gamers 12 different Xbox One bundles to choose from — all at very attractive prices. Sony, on the other hand, has plenty of bundles; but, only one is really getting the Black Friday discount that consumers love so much.
Note: Admittedly, it's entirely possible that I've missed some of this year's deals. If you know of any not listed here, that you think would be useful, please let us know in the comments!
If your'e looking to upgrade to a PS4 this year, the bundle you'll probably want to be on the lookout for is the PS4 500GB Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle. It shouldn't be too hard to find, though. Normally $349.99, most major retailers will be selling this bundle for $299.
As a reminder, the bundle includes a 500GB PS4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which contains the single-player campaigns for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. It's a good way to familiarize with one of PlayStation's most notable exclusive franchise ahead of the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in March 2016.
While the Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle is receiving the big holiday discount, there are a number of other PS4 bundles available this year (though not nearly available at such an attractive price). But, if you're a fan of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 or Star Wars, perhaps these will pique your interest.
