According to 1UP, Bungie has been given the Edge Award for Interactive Innovation for its work on Halo 3. Although the developer was unable to make it to the awards ceremony at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, it did send its acceptance in video form. The video features a Spartan, voiced by Luke Smith, walking around a level, thanking Edge for the award and teasing about the future of Halo 3. 1UP is theorizing that the video hints at the possibility of NPCs from the game’s campaign mode being added to the multiplayer mode and a possible map creator.
