Overflow is an awesome map and the many people that continually vote for it support my claim. This map takes place in Pakistan at some sort of market or small city and is full of open space, narrow hallways and buildings to hide in. The most fun I have with Overflow are the narrow sides, namely the top left and top right of the map pictured above.
Map #8 Overflow
These narrow corridors present some of the best gunfights you get in Black Ops 2 and trudging through a small area with a teammate unsure of enemy positions is always intense. The top left of the map forces you through the market area and features two doors that enemies could be hiding in as well as a fountain on one side and different boxes and barrels on the other. The top right part of the map is more like an alley behind the main buildings and has two different paths you can travel down. This narrow path isn’t as intense as the other one, but it still leads to memorable firefights.
The very middle of the map (that kind of looks like a backwards L) is this levels death alley. Try your hardest not to find yourself in this area since it’s surrounded by multiple buildings and enemies will pick you off easily. If you find yourself running through this area, try reaching a building for safety. You can usually walk in the building and find easy kills, just make sure to watch out for Claymores and Bouncing Bettys.
Weapon Recommendation
Overflow is perfect for accurate long-ranged weapons that are easy to run around with. I would recommend the assault rifles or the SMGs depending on how you feel about your accuracy with your weapon of choice. Also try to use a Fore Grip to give yourself that little boost of accuracy you need as well as a Target Finder to spot enemies easily. The Target Finder does a great job of picking up enemies when even a small amount of them can be seen which will be helpful in a map with a lot of windows and running room. Also, use Bouncing Bettys or Claymores on this map since narrow hallways and doorframes are perfect places to put them and this map has those in abundance. I also used Engineer as my third perk since it shows you enemy equipment, which there is a lot of on Overflow.

Care Package – I always have this equipped
Hunter Killer – Throw this up into the air for a free kill
Lightning Strike – Put one in each narrow hallway and one in the middle of the map
Sentry Gun – Place at one end of a narrow walkway
Overall Thoughts
I think Overflow is one of the best maps in the game hands down. I like how it feels like a big open map but has really small chokepoints and vertical gunplay. Is there anything better than killing an enemy looking out a window? If you agree, Overflow is a map for you.
