Today Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae received a pretty substantial update that clocked in at near 3.5GB. That's right, 3.5GB for what is essentially a demo for the full game. Surprising? Definitely. But more so I think it shows Hajime Tabata's dedication to not only his game, to continually make it better, but also to the fans.
Numerous new features are introduced since the game has been updated such as an improved dodge roll, the active dodges costing less MP, skills costing less MP, new aerial attacks as well as some new content. Players can now actually fight the Catoblepas, the giant monsters that roam around in the water, as well as learn some new team attack moves courtesy of Gladiolus.
In this video, we take you through the sidequest 'It Takes Two' where Gladiolus teaches us the Cross Chain attacks. After venturing out across the other side of the map, we're treated to a tutorial of sorts which introduces the new team attack mechanic and how to pull it off.
Essentially, once a buddy knocks over an enemy, you'll have the option to initiate a Cross Chain attack with the press of the Triangle/Y button. After that, you'll have to carefully time your button presses to continue the combo and continually unlock devastating finishers. In this case, the higher the combo grew, the better versions of Crossbones I could pull off. Once you build up a high enough combo, you can unleash the special attack with Triangle/Y.
