Dark Souls II Guide: What the Ring of Whispers Does

If you bought this ring from the cat but have no idea what it does, I don't blame you. When I first put it on, I heard this weird growling thinking it would be a secret boss or something. What it DOES do, it lets you talk to that scorpion guy (Manscorpion Tark) in the Shaded Woods at the bonfire after this misty forest area. If you talk to him before you fight the Scorpioness Najka you can summon him for the battle. After you kill her, he’ll give you a Branch of Yore and a Second Dragon Ring.
