The Wii is notorious for perhaps one thing above all others: Low memory. Even with the assistance of an external port for SD cards, the limit is only 2GB. And while that is sufficient for some, there will always be those who want more. And for those people, there is a solution.
Over at Cheap Ass Gamer, the Freshmaker known as Knoxximus has devised a solution which will allow one to effectively double the size of the SD cards allowed by the Wii, all while keeping a “better than average” transfer speed.
You can read all about how to do it right here. Do note, before you go running out to buy the biggest card you can afford, this is only said to work for 4GB SD (not SDHC) cards, at least so far.
One has only to wonder if Nintendo will see this as an issue which needs fixing in a later update.
