Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Preview

The rise of popularity in Japanese animation can be unaccredited to a few very popular Anime cartoons. One of them being Dragon Ball. The series has made their creators more money than they can swim in and have open the doors for other Anime series to flood into North America. While Dragon Ball games can be traced all the way back to the NES era, it wasn’t until recently when the series name started to pull some weight. In this current generation, there have been many Dragon Ball fighting games released on many systems. Now the PSP finally gets its turn as a home for Goku.

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai will be the first Dragon Ball game to make it to the PSP. Shin Budokai is from the Z series so no GT or normal Dragon Ball characters will make an appearance. It will feature 18 playable characters and there will be some additions to the fighting engine. Expect to see the famous fighters like Goku, Cell, Trunks, and the Androids throwing around massive balls of energy to defeat their opponent. The graphics will retain the “cell shaded” look as it stays true to the cartoon origins of the Dragon Ball legends. The graphics also look near console quality and are sure to stun PSP gamers. The gameplay should be fast and devastating as galactic heroes and villains do battle on Earth and other locations.

Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai looks to offer DBZ lovin’ to a PSP near you soon. Shin Budokai will be very close to its console brothers and will stay true to the sacred name of Dragon Ball.
