Today Square-Enix announced Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors will be released in America on February 26, 2008. Dragon Quest Swords will have gamers swinging the sword and blocking enemy attacks with a shield as they play. Players will also be able to customize their own swords by combining materials found within the game. The different materials will strengthen and give your sword unique abilities.
Dragon Quest Swords was originally released in Japan last July and had a warm reception at launch. However, the title didn’t reach the level of sales that a typical Dragon Quest title is use to attaining in Japan.
After several months of waiting, the title will finally make its way onto American shores. Luckily, the North American release will come packed with several new additions such as four hidden bosses and a new “Payback” mode.
