Planet GameCube today, citing “development sources who wish to remain anonymous,” (for good reason… the emulator they released a picture of has a sticker on it saying “Confidential”) has revealed a rare, secretive Nintendo Dual Screen development tool, the Nintendo DS Development Emulator.
The Nintendo DS Development Emulator, which can be seen here, and still has the words “IS NITRO”, refering to Intelligent Systems, the developer of the emulator, and the DS codename, is a rare piece of hardware used in the creation of DS games. More advanced that the original chipset released to some developers, this emulator supports the touchscreen feature on the included DS prototype, which is the same model used at E3.
