DS Name Change Planned

The Nintendo Dual Screen will be getting a new, official name in about six weeks.

Since its announcement, Nintendo’s upcoming dual-screened handheld has always been called the Nintendo Dual Screen. (There were the Nitro rumors, but they were confirmed to be false.)

But in six weeks, at Nintendo’s pre-E3 press conference, when Nintendo reveals the Dual Screen’s expected price, release date, and final, official name, it won’t be “Dual Screen.” Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime, has said that the name “Dual Screen” is just a placeholder – a name for the console for the time being – until the official name is announced later.

GameCube Advanced will be at Nintendo’s pre-E3 press conference, so on May 11th we’ll have the complete details for you as they are announced. cuong
