AMN is at a Nintendo event right now and is happy to announce that Nintendo has shown a Super Smash Bros. Brawl trailer behind closed doors tonight to select members of the media. What’s more, we’ve learned that the game features several new playable character including Pit from Kid Icarus, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Zero Suit Samus from Metroid and Meta-Knight from Kirby.
The game is not a launch title, but it is online.
Nintendo says that Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the first Wii game that does not use motion-sensing capabilities and the free-hand controller.
The game is coming out in 2007.
Snake has a number of moves at his disposal, including using a box and explosives.
Kojima contacted Nintendo and asked them to include Snake in the game.
The game will not be playable at E3 this year.
