Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy III will be shipping to the Europe on May 4.
John Yamamoto, President and CEO of Square Enix Ltd. comments, “The arrival of FINAL FANTASY III on Nintendo DS showcases the power of the hardware and proves that no compromise has to be made in order to create an adventure of this magnitude for a handheld system.”
Having already sold 1.4 million copies in Japan and North America, Square Enix is sure that it will be a hit in Europe as well. Final Fantasy III was in Japan for 17 years before it was translated and brought to other countries.
The DS version improves upon the original NES version adding new 3D graphics, rebalanced jobs and many other features.
