GameStop and EBGames have sent out a newsletter to AMN which stated that consumers will be able to get their pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, October 10. This will be limited to a first come, first served basis due to the “extremely limited supply.” Reservations will also be a limited to one per household. GameStop stores are expected to withdraw their supply of consoles in a matter of minutes to an hour. According to the newsletter, there will be a $100 deposit to the PS3 pre-order.
AMN PS3 has contacted GameStop stores and employees claim they won’t know of any other detailed information until “sometime this week” when more PS3 pre-orders will come in. Online available will be strictly limited due to their supply as well.
It seems like the best bet is to go to any GameStop chain of stores to make a pre-order on the PlayStation 3. More details are soon to come.
