Cryptic enough for you?
We’re still unsure if the game will actually be released sometime this year. Miyamoto’s comment (in typical Miyamoto form) raises more questions than it does answer our own. Will we be playing the game from our homes, or is he implying that the title will be playable at a trade show later this year?
While we didn’t get a concrete answer on when the game will be released, Nintendo did premiere a brand new trailer showcasing previously unseen levels , proving that the game is indeed quite far into development. The trailer showed Nintendo’s star mascot soaring through the atmosphere from planet to planet, dodging obstacles and collecting coins. The trailer also showed off some traditional Super Mario worlds ranging from a lava world to under the water.
