At Nintendo Co. Ltd. President Satoru Iwata’s keynote at the Game Developers Conference, the man himself revealed that not only is Final Fantasy IV: The After Years officially coming to WiiWare, but a sequel to FF Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King will also be on it way, and classic Final Fantasy games are going to appear on the Virtual Console service.
Long thought to be nigh-impossible due to Square Enix milking the titles from remakes, the first game to appear on the service will be the one which started it all, Final Fantasy. Other titles are said to be coming to the service in the future, though 1UP says that the US will only get I and IV.
No doubt, there will be much raging over this.
