Gradius ReBirth ReBorn (ReAlly)

The latest buzz around Konami’s series of “ReBirth” WiiWare games has been centered on the remake of Castlevania: The Adventure, but that’s not the only thing going down in ReBirth town.

Konami’s official website for the first in the series, Gradius ReBirth, has been updated to include information about a new update to the Japanese version. For no additional fee to those who have already downloaded it (they’ll just need to do so once more), players will find additional background music, score adjustments, a new ranking board (due to said score adjustments), improved visuals, stage select adjustments, and it will even show the number of times played.

It is good to know that Konami is keeping tabs on what people think of their WiiWare titles, and are willing to make adjustments accordingly, even well after its release. So if there are any shortcomings found in Castlevania or adjustments needed to Contra, it no longer seems out of the realm of possibility that we could see them made down the line.
