Help me choose: Vita or 3DS?

I need help. I want a handheld — actually, I want both of the above mentioned handhelds — but unfortunately the pitiful pay of a gaming journalist coupled with the bills I'm about to rack up from a wedding are forcing me to choose. I know, I could easily not have the wedding and make love to my sweet hand(helds) for the rest of my life, but I'm opting to not go that route. So I'm turning to you, my dear readers, in an effort to finally make a decision (because we all know I'm the most indecisive person on Earth).

Now before you give me your answer, let it first be known that I'm getting a PlayStation 4 at launch. So right away, you can see the value in owning a PlayStation Vita; however, there's just no competing with the library of games offered on the Nintendo 3DS. Sure, the Vita's lineup is improving. We've got Killzone: Mercenary and, soon, Tearaway. There's also the backlog of games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, and honestly I can't think of anything else worth mentioning which brings me to my next point…

The 3DS has freaking amazing games!

Super Mario 3D Land, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Professor Layton, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Illusion, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Mario Kart 7, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Fire Emblem Awakening… Yeah, you get the point. That's not even including the list of upcoming 3DS games. Needless to say, I'm more anxious to play the games available on 3DS.

However, the fact that the Vita will communicate with my PlayStation 4 is a huge plus! The ability to play just about every PlayStation 4 game on the the Vita via Remote Play is an extremely attractive feature.

I have to admit, if I get the 3DS it's not because of any of its features in particular. I hate the 3D functionality. It gives me a headache. I'd strictly be getting it for the games, and the addictive StreetPass. But I'd say that's still worth it right?

I've held both. I've played both. I love both. But alas, I can only choose one. Or, rather, you can only help me choose one. So I ask you, PlayStation Vita or Nintendo 3DS? Both will be an improvement over my current toilet gaming habits of the iPhone. Seriously, Candy Crush makes me constipated.
