Nintendo web site The Wiire was given an exclusive look at Grasshopper and Suda 51’s brand new, exclusive Wii project, titled “Heroes.â€
No gameplay details about the game have been released yet and the stylized trailer (which can’t help but remind us of Killer 7) offers few clues as to how the title will actually play. It does, however, feature a load of cut-scene-esque clips that feature shootouts and even a light saber-esque duel. The game also seems to feature a hit man theme.
As said before, the game sports a very Killer 7-style look, which means artsy cell shading and a unique art style. Further, it features some catchy futuristic techno that we already can’t get out of our heads.
Developed by Grasshopper Manufacturer, Heroes will be published by Marvelous Interactive. At one time, it was planned to unveil Heroes at Nintendo’s E3 2006 press briefing, but the company was unable to release the trailer as planned.
More video footage and first screenshots are expected to be released sometime this November or December, according to a spokesperson at Spike Co. Ltd.
Heroes is scheduled to release during the summer of 2007 both in Japan and North America.
Be sure to check out the spiffy trailer by heading over to The Wiire.
