How the Wii Remote Works

Popular Science’s latest “How it Works” analyzes the Wii remote and system.

It has been awhile since it was revealed that the Wii sensor bar is just two IR signals but the latest PopSci’s page takes this all another step further.

The simple explanation and examples can be found on their site here. There are several images and captions on how the Wii remote’s accelerometer works as well as a gallery of the Wii being taken apart. The gallery is accompanied by captions which tell you exactly what you are looking at.
