How to complete Destiny’s new Sleeper Simulant Missions

***Part two of the quest line, which actually rewards you with the Sleeper Simulant, is now available***

Today marks the start of what looks to be the beginnings of missions that will hopefully lead to rebuilding the Sleeper Simulant, one of The Taken King's most striking Exotic Fusion Rifles that also happens to take up your Heavy Weapon slot.

We have a whole write up on how to complete these missions step-by-step over here. However, if you're more of the visual type, you can check out the videos below, which walk you through most of the process.

First and foremost, you had to have at some point picked up and turned in four Fusion Rifle Relics to Banshee-44. If you have done so, you'd have access to a new mission on Earth called The First Firewall. It's a survival mission which has you fending off four waves of enemies, with a boss at the end. Pro-tip: Bring an Arc based weapon, as the Knights are otherwise impenetrable.

Once you have completed that, you will get an item called the Curious Transceiver. You'll have to input a specific sequence that's actually based on the spawns of the enemies during The First Firewall mission. Here is the sequence.

Lastly, once the codes are in, you'll get access to yet another mission called Shadow Call. This mission can only be completed solo, but don't worry, it's relatively easy. You'll have four minutes to get to the top of the Spire. Don't sweat it too much. If you die, the timer resets. Don't focus too much on killing any of the enemies, though you should have your sword equipped and ready in order to dispatch any of the swarms that might overwhelm you. Once you reach the top, open the chest and three Major Wizards will spawn. Dispatch them using your Supers and your sword and you'll get the IKELOS Fusion Core.

We didn't make videos for what to do with the Fusion Core since they're pretty easy. You have to complete five steps in order to restore it.

  1. Dismantle a Legendary or better Heavy Weapon
  2. Defend a public Warsat event on Earth
  3. Defend a public Warsat event on the Moon
  4. Defend a public Warsat event on Mars
  5. Complete the Archives mission on Venus (any difficulty)

The questline ends there at this point, which means we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out what to do next.
