Early Access for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, the first expansion for the MMO, is finally here – just a few day ahead the official release on June 23. In order for you to get to the main quest for the expansion, there are a couple of things you should know.
First off, the expansion is tons of things to the game:
- Raised level cap (50, 60)
- Flying mounts
- A new playable race: The Au Ra
- New Jobs: Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian
- A new city-state: Ishgard
- New Primals: Bismarck and Ravana
- A new high-end raid: Alexander
- Airship construction and customization in Free Company Workshops
Now that we covered that, let's talk about the Coming to Ishgard quest. In order to be able to come across the quest you must have either a level 50 Discile of War or Magic. If you have one, you may proceed to the Coming to Ishgarde quest location in the Intercessory after speaking with Alphinaud.
Head to Coarthas Central Highlands (X: 26, Y:17) and complete the main scenario quest Before the Dawn — this quest must be completed in order to start Coming to Ishgard.
Completing these steps will have you ready for Ishgard!
