Code Lyoko Announced

Today, The Game Factory has announced that they will be publishing European developer, MoonScoop’s Nintendo DS project, Code Lyoko.

Set to release in the Fall of 2006, the title will combine elements of both the RPG and adventure genres.

The upcoming DS game will be based around the popular 3D animated television series. In the show, the main characters Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich and Yumi discover a dangerous parallel universe. These four students band together to help stop the evil Aelita as he attacks their world.

Nicolas Atlan, VP, Executive Producer of MoonScoop said, “It is has always been our intention to explore gaming opportunities for Code Lyoko as we’re confident that it’s a property that can be a hit on this platform. We’re delighted to be working with The Game Factory on this project.”

Code Lyoko has been rated as one of Cartoon Network’s most popular programs, and the series has won several awards in Europe. Additionally, the series has been picked up by major stations across Europe.

Axel Dauchez, CEO of MoonScoop added, “We look forward to sign further licensees over the coming months through Kidz Entertainment, our partner in the region, and believe we have a great team in place for extending the Code Lyoko brand throughout 2006.”
