Set to be the first game to utilize the Wi-Fi features of the Nintendo DS, Mario Kart DS is slated to release in North America on November 14, with an European release date following on November 25.
Today, Nintendo of Europe has released details regarding the online mode for Mario Kart.
It is now confirmed that the title will feature an online matching system that will pair you up with racers based off similar skill levels.
In addition, the game will feature a Friend Roster, where gamers can add their friends. The friends list for Mario Kart DS will function similarly to that of Animal Crossing: Wild World, in that “friend codes” can be handed out to anyone the player knows.
With the upcoming kart racer releasing in just under six weeks from today, expect further details to emerge shortly.
